Description
Key Features & Uses:
Effect: Creates raised, textured dots or flowing drips, adding dimension to pottery.
Application: Best applied with a syringe or squeeze bottle onto greenware or soft bisque.
Preparation: Must be thoroughly stirred (not shaken) as it’s very thick and forms a skin; dampening bisque helps adhesion.
Firing:
Cone 5-10 range; higher temps increase fluidity, causing drips.
Best Practices: Fire as soon as possible after application; keep dots pea-sized to prevent excessive running.
Important Considerations:
Not Dinnerware Safe:
The textured surface isn’t durable for food contact.
Fragile: Dries with a skin and can be fragile, so transport carefully.
Layering: Can be layered or marbled for unique effects.
