Description
Smalto glazes are opaque, with a Glossy or Satin Matte finish
These glazes work perfectly on both white and red bisque and is completely lead-free and food safe. Colours can be mixed together to obtain different shades.
Due to their versatility these glazes are suitable for any application technique.
As this is a low-fire glaze it is suited for earthenware only.
Available in 473ml bottles only.
Preparation – Application – Firing
Shake well before use. If necessary, dilute with small amount of water. Apply 1-3 even coats to mature bisque fired to a minimum of 1000°C. Allow to dry completely before applying the next layer. Allow to dry before firing.
Firing Temperature
950°C – 1000°C (Cone 08-06)
