Formulated for stability, Black Ice fires reliably between 1200°C and 1240°C in an oxidising atmosphere. It vitrifies fully at these temperatures, giving you a dense, non-porous finish that’s food-safe (ISO 6486 approved) and perfect for tableware. The clay contains no carbonates and has zero water absorption when fired correctly — so it’s as functional as it is beautiful.
Supplied in moist, extruded form and packed in a 5kg cylindrical shape inside a carton box, this is one of those clays that doesn’t just work well — it makes a statement.
